so kessil, whats a good schedule for the a360x? any hints? is it unreasonable to think you might update the spectral controller from 8 time slots to 12? why only 8 anyway? most people seem to run their lights for 12 hours in some fashion...

Just purchased two a160we tuna blues and have my ordcit marine 3 48 strip led and wow! I'm not grabbing 2 a360x and adding them to start corals. Our tank is around 10 years old and doing very well. Can't wait to get some corals growing

is there any reason why I am unable to securely plug in the power cord into the light? it feels like I am trying to push two wrong connectors together. the cord that comes out of the light is female, and the power cord is a male plug. it is not possible to plug the two together with any kind of firm, positive feel. it will stay connected, but even the slightest bit of tension on the connection will pull it apart, for this reason I am unable too pull the power cord through the mounting arm completely, doing so will cause the connection to come apart. I have a Kessil A80. and that same male female connection on that light is firm and positive, and only a purposeful action will disconnect it.

if you were trying to make this as complicated and obtuse as possible, well, you succeeded... I go into the program and choose acclimation, and set the starting intensity for 10%, it saves, and then... nothing. wtf.

I have a 160 and every time I plug it in it’s says no lamps detected and then I have to manually change the schedule every time I want the colour/intensity to increase/decrease. Any tips? Firmware all up to date.

Will 2 work on a 40 gallon breeder softie dominant?

To figure out the light you have to grind up an acropora, drink it, and sit in the woods for 8 hours, then come back and tinker in every setting till you and you alone figure it out. BTW customer support is excellent. But you know... still do 8 hrs in the woods.

Why didn’t you include as many adjustable options for the a160 tuna sun as you do for all latest models? I could have saved myself some money buy using a fluval which does a lot more compared to the a160 connected to the poor controller

It’s absolutely useless with the tuba sun a160. All it does is turn the lights on and off with limited adjustments. Total waste of money as obviously designed to work with the latest marine models. The company puts more effort into the marine lights and the sun lights are just an after thought

So basically, this controller was made for the latest tuna blue lights. I brought this for the use with 2 a160s sun and all it does is turn the lights on and off with little variation. I feel I’ve been ripped off.

Where can i find program and light settings

Just played with this the first time today. Really wish y’all would consider a different preset naming/storing method, more like Ecotech where presets can be labeled by name not just a colored circle. When creating multiple presets that don’t vary that much from each other in spectrum but have different intensities it becomes impossible to intuitively differentiate between them. You just end up having a bunch of bluish or purple circles in a row. Make it a menu of presets you can name and I guarantee people will be a lot happier.
